Although some paid online dating review sites gave SinglesNet.com high marks for some of its features, dating websites reviews submitted by actual users told another story.

The good points of this site include the ability to contact non-paying members and the active chat room where you can meet local singles. The site does offer a matching service and blocking features and has a decent section with tips on writing a good profile. These are pretty standard, however, for most dating websites.

The most common complaint from actual users is that the site is poorly designed and has lots of glitches. Some users insinuated that SinglesNet.com was simply a company luring people by offering a way to meet singles locally, only to use the site as a front for phishing. One tactic mentioned more than once was the use of ads on CraigsList and other sites which appeared to be posted by individual women. When men clicked on the link, they were asked to sign up for a paying membership; once they paid, the “member” who had posted on CraigsList couldn’t be found. It’s a bait and switch tactic that infuriated more than one consumer.

Tales of mishandled personal information, personal information posted that was supposed to be hidden, and repetitive emails from overseas men and women asking for money were also linked to SinglesNet.com

This kind of mishandling of accounts is disturbing at the least and can be downright dangerous at the worst.

Poor Customer Service

If you’re willing to take the risk and join this dating site as a paying member, don’t expect much in the way of site navigation or customer service. You can’t meet anyone by searching by age (one of the most basic criteria), and you can’t search for local singles manually.

When we visited, the site loaded slowly and had several broken links. When we contacted customer service, we reached overseas operators who were barely understandable and were extremely defensive. They offered little or no help in resolving problems.

If you’re looking for good service, protection of your personal information or even just a site you can trust to send you accurate matches, you should look elsewhere. This is not the site to meet local singles online. SinglesNet.com is poorly run, poorly executed and using it will probably result in lots of Spam but very few viable matches.
